Training will be provided. ● Coaches— ● If you’re interested in coaching you must be Rutgers Certified and have passed the Mahwah Background Check. RUTGERS “Sports Awareness for Educating Today’s Youth” Course
If you wish to be a coach, assistant coach or even a once in a while helper in the town of Mahwah you must attent the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. course. This course: · Helps coaches minimize the risk of injury to young athletes · Provides information about fundamental coaching concepts which enhances volunteer coaches' effectiveness · Provides partial protection from civil law suits
To be on the field, you MUST take this course and have a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic Certification Card. For up coming classes, please click on the link above under TMYSB Contacts and Links. This course is also offered at the Valley Hospital for $25. |
